How Live Wedding Painting Works

As you embark on this beautiful new chapter of your life, I would be honored to be part of your special day. Below, I’ve outlined the process for creating a live wedding painting. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
BEFORE YOUR WEDDING
1. Check Availability: Begin by submitting an inquiry to confirm my availability for your wedding date.
2. Secure Your Booking: To reserve your date, a 30% deposit (along with any applicable travel fees) and a signed contract are required.
3. Consultation: Approximately 4-6 weeks before your wedding, we will schedule a consultation to discuss your vision for the painting. This includes selecting color schemes, preferred scenes, poses, and any other elements that are significant to you for your wedding day.
ON YOUR WEDDING DAY
1. Arrival and Setup: I will arrive 1-2 hours prior to your ceremony to begin painting the background and establish the overall composition.
2. Exclusive Photoshoot: Depending on your wedding timeline, I will arrange a private photoshoot with you, typically following your “first look” or immediately after the ceremony, to gather reference images for your painting.
3. Incorporating the Moment: After capturing the reference photos, I will begin incorporating the key moments and figures into the painting, allowing your guests to watch the process unfold.
4. End-of-Day Progress: By the end of the evening, you will have a clear sense of the painting’s progression. While the portrait details will be refined, the background will remain more loosely rendered until final touch-ups. If your photographer or videographer is still present, I will ensure they have the opportunity to capture your reaction when the painting reaches its completion for the night.
AFTER YOUR WEDDING
1. Final Refinements: After the wedding, I will take the painting back to my studio to add final details and apply a protective varnish. This process typically takes between 12-16 weeks, depending on the size of the painting. At certain times of the year, drying time may extend slightly.
2. Collection and Delivery: Once the painting is completed, I will contact you to arrange a time for you to pick it up. Alternatively, if needed, I can have the painting professionally packed and shipped to your preferred location, with a shipping quote provided at the time of booking.
